The follow-up to the well-received 2023 action-platformer Gravity Circuit has been officially announced. Gravity Circuit 2 is slated for a 2027 release across PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms, including distribution via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Expanding the Action-Platformer Formula
Developed by Finnish studio Domesticated Ant Games and published by Dear Villagers, Gravity Circuit 2 builds upon the foundation of its predecessor, which was praised for its Mega Man-inspired gameplay and unique identity. The sequel promises a return to fast-paced action and challenging boss encounters. A key new addition is Cable, the Power Circuit, a second playable character who specializes in ranged combat. This complements Kai, the Gravity Circuit, who focuses on melee attacks and grappling. Players will be able to switch between these characters in a new central HQ area, which also houses vendors and training facilities.
The game is set to feature eight distinct Hunter Circuit bosses, each with their own dedicated levels, and over a dozen varied stages. Character progression and customization will be a significant focus, with players able to utilize thirty Booster Chips, forty Burst Techniques, and Circuit Shards to tailor their playstyle. Composer Dominic Ninmark will return to provide the soundtrack, as he did for the original game.

To help players experience the original game before the sequel's launch, Gravity Circuit is being offered for free on Steam until June 14. The first game was highlighted as a hidden gem of 2023 for its ability to blend classic influences with its own distinct approach.
