M2 has canceled development of Ubusuna, the shoot 'em up game from the creator of Ikaruga, Hiroshi Iuchi. The project, announced in 2014, was halted following Iuchi's departure from the company. M2 has apologized to fans.

Developer Treasure is hinting at potential new content for its classic Sega Saturn title Guardian Heroes, coinciding with Sega's new Sega Universe initiative. The game is set to celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026.
